Conection

*Conexión* is an interactive installation created in collaboration with Ivana Kairiyama that senses hand movements when placed beneath a transparent screen, where an animation reflects the connection between participants. The work stems from the idea of exploring technologies capable of demonstrating that human connection drives events. We used MediaPipe with a webcam for hand detection and TouchDesigner for the particle animation. The piece was selected for the 2025 National Arts Fund (Fondo Nacional de las Artes) Art and Technology competition and was exhibited at the Palacio Libertad between April 10 and June 30, 2026.
